I was so excited when I finally had the greatest reason to visit Ibiza…One of my friends decided to get married there…A friend from Brazil!! And after three years of living in Barcelona, I finally got the chance to fully appreciate all Ibiza had to offer with my sweetheart.
Not being particularly one of those crazy party people but definitely enjoying a good time and dancing, what we made of Ibiza in those four days stuck to my memory.
We started off spending a full day at
Es Torrent:
971 80 21 60 Carretera San Josep -make your reservation way in advance and spend the day. Nothing but joy and bliss out of this spectacular cala. When you make reservations for the restaurant also make sure they reserve you a beach chair close to the water. Relax and enjoy!
The second full day, was spent with the bride, groom and wedding friends who came from all parts of the globe for this iconic wedding reunion. Everything took place at the idyllic Destino Hotel.
That night we went to
La Paloma – (Sant Llorenç)
971 325543 – the place is THEMOSTMUST!! The location is rather inland, but the boho hippie chic atmosphere and magical decoration makes up for the ride. The chef is Italian and delivers on some traditional dishes. Fun and chic, island style.
Could not have expected the amazing blue waters we found ourselves splashing about during our 6 hour boat trip to and around Formentera. Just incredible…!!! Reserve in advance and make sure you have a seaside lunch at Juan y Andrea, enjoying some rosé wine, seafood, and the finest Illetes beach views…
The best beaches are around San José:
Es Cubells, Cala Llentrisca, Cala d’Hort, Porroig, Jondal, Sa Caleta…
If you are around the northern area of the island I would recommend having a drink at Na Xamena…but if you are in the south definitely try Experimental Beach – Playa des Codolar, Salinas. Our flight was delayed on the way back for about 3 hours so we decided to go see the sunset at Experimental Beach, it was incredibly beautiful and peaceful. Very romantic.
Additionally I would recommend staying at a casa rural type of hotel instead of the usual chain hotels so that you have a chance to enjoy all the natural beauty found in this special island.

Hello, and Welcome!
I decided to start this webpage because many of my friends and family would email me asking for my recommendations about where to go and what to do...I guess they very much trusted my opinion especially when it came to restaurants since I love to eat.
As I travel I continuously update the information so that it can always be fresh....I only write about places I have really liked so I hope you are as excited as I was when you first experience them for yourselves!!
Quality is very important to me and therefore that is how I came up with the name: theMOSTMUST ...thought it was a fun spin on making sure to tell you what is the ultimate hotspot for each location.
All the best! View all posts by JoanaJo
